Netflix has recently unveiled the premiere date for the anime adaptation of *Devil May Cry*, along with an electrifying opening trailer. The trailer, set to the iconic nu-metal track "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit, showcases dynamic scenes featuring young Dante, Lady, and White Rabbit, filled with nods to the beloved video game series.

Showrunner Adi Shankar has shared his vision for the anime's future, revealing that the series is set in the late 90s to early 2000s. He believes the soundtrack perfectly captures the essence of that era. Alongside Limp Bizkit, the series will feature other tracks from the time, as well as a revamped soundtrack from the games by the synthwave duo Power Glove.

Shankar also hinted at the anime's long-term plans, stating that future seasons will vary in visual style and soundtrack to reflect the diversity found in the *Devil May Cry* games. This suggests that the series is set to extend beyond a single season.

While plot details remain under wraps, the first season will be inspired by the manga *Code 1: Dante (Devil May Cry 3)*. It follows a young demon hunter as he investigates a child's disappearance, leading him to confront his past, his family, and the legacy of his demon father, Sparda.

The first season of the *Devil May Cry* anime will consist of 8 episodes and is scheduled to premiere on April 3, 2025.
