For fans of Magic: The Gathering eagerly awaiting the upcoming Final Fantasy set, June might seem like an eternity away. However, Wizards of the Coast has just given us a delightful sneak peek, unveiling over a dozen brand-new cards that have yet to be seen. This reveal features iconic characters such as Sephiroth, Yuffie, Cecil, Garland, Chaos, and more, igniting excitement among fans.

In addition to these new cards, the preview includes several art variations and the previously introduced commander cards: Tidus, Cloud, Y'shtola, and Terra. Alongside powerful legendary figures like Sephiroth and Cecil, we're treated to a fresh Food token art and unique art variations on cards like Stilzkin, Moogle Merchant; Sin, Spira's Punishment; and Summon: Shiva. Today's reveal also showcases unique features of the set, including Summons, which are part of Magic's first-ever Saga creatures that players can call upon for aid in battle, as demonstrated by Summon: Shiva. Moreover, the set brings back double-faced cards, highlighted by Cecil's dual sides: Dark Knight and Redeemed Paladin.

The Final Fantasy set is set to include over 100 legendary creature cards, with 55 of these being borderless and illustrated by beloved artists from the Final Fantasy series. This set will be fully draftable and Standard-legal, launching alongside four preconstructed Commander decks, each themed around a different Final Fantasy game: 6, 7, 10, and 14. Each deck will feature 100 cards, blending new Final Fantasy cards with existing cards adorned with new Final Fantasy art. Mark your calendars for the set's launch on June 13.
