Marvel Rivals has officially launched Competitive Play in Season 0 - Doom's Rise, allowing all players who've reached account level 10 to participate in skill-based matchmaking. Starting from Bronze rank, competitors can climb through the tiered ranking system by securing victories. Similar to Quick Match, players can select from the entire roster of 30+ characters across three distinct roles: Strategist, Duelist, and Vanguard.

Competitive Rewards & Seasonal Unlockables

As players advance through Competitive Play ranks during a season, they'll qualify for exclusive seasonal rewards. These include special character skins and Crests of Honor – unique profile emblems that display your highest achieved rank. Season 1 - Eternal Night Falls introduces the Blood Shield skin for new Strategist character Invisible Woman as the featured competitive reward.

Earning the Blood Shield Skin

The path to acquiring Invisible Woman's Blood Shield cosmetic is straightforward – players simply need to reach Gold III rank or higher during the competitive season. Rewards are determined by peak rank rather than final standing, meaning you'll still qualify even if you subsequently drop below Gold III. However, all seasonal rewards are distributed only after the season concludes and the next one begins - expect your Blood Shield skin to unlock when Season 3 launches.

Season 1 also introduces adjustments to the ranking system, including a new Celestial rank slot between Grandmaster and Eternity with three distinct tiers. Additional rewards include Season 2 Crest variants for players reaching Grandmaster rank or higher.
