What Is Beyond Colors?

This update is a meaningful step forward for the estimated 300 million people worldwide with color vision deficiency. Traditional card colors have been reimagined with distinct shapes, such as squares and triangles, ensuring all players can easily differentiate cards.

Activating the Beyond Colors feature in Phase 10: World Tour, Skip-Bo Mobile, and UNO! Mobile is simple. Tap your avatar in-game, go to account settings, and select the Beyond Colors deck from the card theme options.

Mattel163 partnered with colorblind gamers to ensure the new symbols are effective and intuitive. This effort aligns with Mattel’s goal to make 80% of its games colorblind-accessible by 2025.

In collaboration with color vision experts and the global gaming community, Mattel163 developed solutions like patterns, tactile cues, and symbols to ensure cards are distinguishable without relying solely on color.
