Microsoft has unveiled an exciting lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles set to join the service in the first half of April 2025, featuring a robust selection of first- and third-party games, including South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, and more.

This month promises to be one of the strongest yet, as detailed in a recent Xbox Wire post. The action kicks off tomorrow, April 3, with the addition of Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition (available on Cloud, Console, and PC) across all Game Pass tiers. Joining it on the same day are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all available on Game Pass Standard. With this initial wave of games, there's more than enough to keep Xbox fans engaged throughout the month. However, the excitement doesn't stop there—mark your calendars for April 8, when South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) become available to all Game Pass subscribers.

South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, is set in the Deep South and promises to be one of Xbox’s major releases this year. Its inclusion in Game Pass is expected to attract a wide audience eager to explore its folklore-inspired narrative. Microsoft’s official description teases an immersive experience: “Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown.”

The excitement continues on April 9 with the addition of Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. The following day, April 10, sees Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) joining the same tiers. Wrapping up the first wave of April's releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will be available on April 15 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members.

Alongside the new game additions, Xbox Game Pass perks are also being refreshed for the first half of April 2025. Notable perks include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire players on mobile devices, and an anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves enthusiasts.
