Microsoft has officially revealed the second wave of new titles joining Xbox Game Pass in January 2025, giving subscribers another exciting lineup of games to enjoy across the month.

This announcement arrives just ahead of Microsoft’s highly anticipated Xbox Developer Direct on January 23, where fans can expect to see gameplay reveals and updates for several day one Game Pass titles, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-announced fourth title.

The January 2025 Wave 2 additions begin today, January 21, with the release of [ttpp]Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders[/ttpp] (available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S). This thrilling snowboarding sequel launches directly onto Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. As described by the developers, “Crash over and over until you master the mountain in the snowy follow-up to Lonely Mountains: Downhill.” The game also supports cross-platform multiplayer for up to eight players—offering both cooperative and competitive downhill experiences.

January 22 is packed with new arrivals. First up is Flock (Console), now available with Game Pass Standard. Described as a charming co-op experience, Flock lets players soar through beautiful landscapes while collecting adorable flying creatures to grow their flock.

Also arriving that same day is Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC), available via Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This definitive edition of the popular MOBA-shooter hybrid features a wide cast of unique heroes and fast-paced team-based combat.

Capcom’s Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console) joins Game Pass Standard on January 22. Blending Japanese-inspired aesthetics with strategic action gameplay, this single-player Kagura-themed title challenges players to purify a corrupted mountain through a cycle of day and night battles against hordes of dark forces.

Rounding out the January 22 releases are Magical Delicacy (Console), Tchia (Xbox Series X|S), The Case of the Golden Idol (Console), and Starbound (Cloud and Console)—the latter returning to Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard after previously launching on PC Game Pass.

January 30 marks the arrival of [ttpp]Sniper Elite: Resistance[/ttpp] (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Set during a covert war in occupied France, this entry delivers precise sniping mechanics and stealth-based third-person combat—perfect for solo or co-op play.

Finally, on January 31, [ttpp]Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector[/ttpp] (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) debuts on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This dice-driven sci-fi RPG continues the acclaimed story of an escaped android navigating a galaxy full of danger, mystery, and opportunity.

Looking slightly beyond January, [ttpp]Far Cry New Dawn[/ttpp] (Cloud, Console, and PC) will become available on February 4 via Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard.
