Minecraft Movie Lego Sets Gives Insight Into Which Mobs Will Appear in the Jack Black Film
Lego is releasing a series of Minecraft Movie sets to coincide with the upcoming Jack Black-led film, offering a glimpse into the mobs fans can expect to see.
Two sets have been announced so far: the Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring and The Ghast Balloon Village Attack. These join the existing range of standard Minecraft Lego sets but include minifigures of characters like Jack Black's Steve and Jason Momoa's The Garbage Man.
The $49.99, 491-piece Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring depicts a gladiator-style battle. Momoa's character is shown fighting a zombie riding a giant chicken. The scale is unclear—it's depicted as significantly taller than The Garbage Man. The set also includes Steve, Henry, a giant zombie pigman, a fighting ring, a treasure chest, and a small viewing stand with weapons.
The Ghast Balloon Village Attack set, priced at $69.99 and containing 555 pieces, features the Nether's Ghast in a large battle scene within a regular overworld village. This set includes one villager, two piglins, Steve, Natalie, Dawn, and an iron golem.
Both sets launch March 1st, a month before The Minecraft Movie hits theaters on April 4th.
The film's September reveal drew criticism for the disparity between the live-action characters and the animated world. However, the director and producer told IGN in November that they were aware of this and "ready for everything."
