The mobile strategy tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is closing its doors to global players. While the Japanese version will continue, the international servers will shut down on August 29th, 2024. Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, based on the popular Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion franchise, the game's global launch in September 2023 was short-lived.

The game will be unavailable after August 29th, 2024. Account access and in-app purchases will cease on that date, and official social media channels will also be closed. Downloads are already disabled.

Reasons for Closure:

While no official reason was given, low download numbers and generally negative global reviews are likely factors. Many licensed anime games struggle to maintain a player base outside of Japan, where player spending tends to be higher. The game's blend of RPG, action, and tower defense elements, while appealing, apparently couldn't overcome these challenges.
