Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta test by 24 hours to compensate for a PlayStation Network outage.

The PlayStation Network (PSN) experienced a significant service disruption starting Friday, February 7th, at 3 PM PT, lasting approximately 24 hours. Sony attributed the outage to an "operational issue," offering PlayStation Plus subscribers five additional days of service as compensation.

This outage unfortunately impacted the Monster Hunter Wilds beta, specifically the highly anticipated weekend session scheduled from February 6th to 9th. To make amends for the lost playtime, Capcom has announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta session.

The revised beta dates are:

February 13th, 7 PM PT / February 14th, 3 AM GMT – February 17th, 6:59 PM PT / February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT

Capcom confirmed that participation bonuses, redeemable in the full game, will still be available during this extended period.

Despite the previous PSN downtime, beta participants had the opportunity to engage with the challenging new monster, Arkveld.

Monster Hunter Wilds is slated for official release on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
