Monster Hunter Wilds Update 1 Release Date Set, More Details Revealed; Update 2 Coming Summer 2025

Capcom has announced that the first major post-launch update for *Monster Hunter Wilds*, titled Update 1, will be released on Thursday, April 3 Pacific Time, and April 4 UK time. In a detailed showcase video, Capcom not only confirmed the release date but also provided insights into what players can look forward to with this exciting update.

The highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of the Grand Hub, a new social space where players can engage in fresh interactions. Within the Grand Hub, players can enjoy a new mini-game called Barrel Bowling and experience nightly performances by the Diva, adding a vibrant atmosphere to the hub.

A new monster, Mizutsune, a leviathan known for its perilous bubbles, will make its debut in *Monster Hunter Wilds* with this update, accompanied by a Zoh Shia quest. Additionally, the fearsome Arch-tempered Rey Dau will be introduced later through an event quest, offering players new challenges to conquer.

Competitive players will be thrilled with the introduction of Arena Quests, which will allow them to vie for the fastest completion times. Alongside these quests, free content will be available to all players, including classic gestures from the series, enhancing the overall experience. Cosmetic DLC Pack 1 will also launch concurrently with Title Update 1, offering players new customization options.

Looking ahead, Capcom has teased a collaboration with an unannounced Capcom game set to arrive in *Monster Hunter Wilds* at the end of May. Additionally, a second title update is scheduled for the summer, featuring the introduction of a new monster, giving players more to anticipate.

While PC gamers were hoping for news on performance improvements following concerns at launch, the showcase did not address these issues. However, with the game's successful launch and the introduction of Title Update 1, Capcom is setting a promising pace for future updates and content.

Here's what to expect from Monster Hunter Wilds in the run up to summer.
