Among all fighting game franchises, Mortal Kombat stands out for its unexpected guest characters. The roster has featured everything from brilliant additions to bizarre choices, with no shortage of surprises. Now Mortal Kombat Mobile continues this tradition by welcoming Ghostface to its character lineup.

Hailing from Wes Craven's meta-slasher classic Scream, Ghostface has been portrayed by numerous individuals throughout the franchise. The Nightmare Ghostface variant arrives as a powerful Diamond-tier character, becoming the latest addition to the Nightmare team. During combat, you can switch between Ghostface partners to build Ghostspirit stacks and activate manic mode.

When allies face defeat, Ghostface can intervene with his Death Save ability, providing assistance that can trigger up to three times when using a full nightmare team composition. But Ghostface isn't the only cinematic character joining MK Mobile this Halloween season.

Spooky Season

The next character expected to appear on our Mortal Kombat Mobile tier list is MK II Movie Kitana. As the name suggests, this iteration draws inspiration from the film adaptations, functioning as a Diamond Outworld/Martial Artist capable of draining opponent's power.

Kitana introduces a new Extra Attack minigame that rewards well-timed strikes with bonus damage, special effects, and the ability to neutralize enemy buffs. She officially launches on November 12th for all players, with early access available through the Kombat Pass: Season of Screams for those eager to try her sooner.
