The game's creation story is fascinating. Developer Ahmed Alameen, initially a writer and filmmaker, initially collaborated on a game project in 2020, but that endeavor fell through. Undeterred, Alameen pursued his vision independently, teaching himself 3D modeling and Unreal Engine to bring his compelling narrative to life. Even the game's title resulted from a collaborative effort with his wife.

My Father Lied plunges players into a captivating mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths, secrets, puzzles, and surprises. Players assume the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: what happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, proves far from straightforward.

Blending 7,000 years of Mesopotamian culture with modern storytelling, My Father Lied offers a unique blend of ancient lore and contemporary narrative. The gameplay is straightforward, utilizing a simple point-and-click interface, complemented by stunning 2D visuals and 360-degree imagery.

Android Release Date

My Father Lied launches on PC on May 30th, 2025. Android and iOS versions are slated for release in Q3 2025. For more information, visit the game's official Kickstarter or Steam pages.
