Hotta Studios' upcoming open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test. Unfortunately, this initial test will be exclusive to mainland China.

Gematsu recently highlighted some newly revealed lore details. If you've seen the trailers showcasing the city of Eibon (see below), the new additions likely won't be a huge surprise. The expanded lore delves deeper into the game's comedic tone and the intriguing blend of the bizarre and ordinary within the Hetherau setting.

Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the popular Tower of Fantasy), is entering a competitive market. Neverness to Everness, while fitting within the established 3D open-world RPG genre's urban trend, offers unique features to differentiate itself.

A standout feature is open-world driving. Players can enjoy high-speed city chases, customizing and purchasing various vehicles. However, be warned: crashes have realistic consequences!

Upon release, Neverness to Everness will face tough competition from titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both of which occupy similar niches within the mobile 3D open-world RPG landscape.
