Ninja Gaiden 4 announced, Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster released
Developer_Direct showcased more than just DOOM: The Dark Ages; the highly anticipated Ninja Gaiden 4 was also unveiled. Set for an autumn 2025 release, the game promises a thrilling return to the action-packed slasher gameplay fans love.
The debut trailer highlighted Ryu Hayabusa's return as the protagonist, navigating a visually stunning cyberpunk city perpetually drenched in toxic rain. Ninja Gaiden 4 introduces innovative mechanics, such as swift traversal using wires and rails, as seen in the gameplay footage. Players will battle hordes of augmented soldiers and terrifying creatures in a quest to break an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.
Beyond the new installment, a significant remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 was also presented. Already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (and included in Game Pass), this updated version boasts a UE5 engine port, featuring completely overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments. Further enhancing the experience, the remaster incorporates elements from later series entries, including three additional playable characters.
