Nintendo's Latest Announcement: A LEGO Game Boy!

Get ready for a nostalgic blast from the past! Nintendo has just revealed its latest collaboration with LEGO: a buildable LEGO Game Boy! Launching October 2025, this follows the successful LEGO NES set, marking the second Nintendo console to receive the LEGO treatment.

While exciting news for fans of both brands, the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) has sparked a flurry of speculation regarding the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2. Many jokingly interpreted the LEGO Game Boy reveal as a substitute for the Switch 2 announcement, with comments like, "Thanks for finally revealing the new console," and "At this rate, a LEGO Switch 2 will be out before the actual console!"

Despite the playful online reactions, Nintendo President Furukawa previously stated (May 7, 2024) that an announcement about the Nintendo Switch successor would be made within the current fiscal year (ending March). So, while the wait for the Switch 2 continues, fans can look forward to this new LEGO creation.
