在罕见举动中，任天堂在接受《产经新闻》采访后，就这款泄露的设计发表了评论。“这不是官方的，”一位公司代表告诉这家日本媒体，指的是Genki的Switch 2复制品的图片和视频。任天堂进一步解释说，它并未以任何形式参与CES 2025，因此从该贸易展上出现的任何Switch 2图像都不能被视为官方宣传材料。
Genki的Switch 2复制品：准确与否？
任天堂并未评论Genki的Switch 2复制品的准确性。然而，这款模拟设备可能是即将推出的游戏机的忠实再现，至少因为它与最近关于该设备的泄露消息和传闻一致。除了比Switch略大之外，复制品和2017年版游戏机之间最大的区别在于前者增加了一个按钮。这个按钮形状类似于左侧Joy-Con的方形捕捉按钮，位于右侧Joy-Con的主页按钮下方，标记为“C”，但其功能仍然未知。
Genki首席执行官蔡宜达(Eddie Tsai)对神秘的C按钮没有任何信息，但他分享了一些关于Switch 2的其他据称细节，包括声称该游戏机的Joy-Cons将通过磁力连接到设备上，而不是依靠滑动轨道。他还断言，这些控制器可以像鼠标一样使用——这一可能性此前已被其他几个消息来源提出。
