Nintendo has officially announced the upgrade costs for two more Switch games to their Switch 2 Editions: Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree. However, these upgrades come with a hefty price tag.

While The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be upgraded from the original Switch version to the Switch 2 Edition for $9.99 each, NintendoLife has reported that the upgrades for Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree are significantly more expensive, costing more than double that amount each.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild boasts improved visuals and performance, achievements, and integration with the new "Zelda Notes" service available through the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original Switch version of Breath of the Wild can access these new features by purchasing an "upgrade pack" for $10.

The Switch 2 Edition of Kirby and the Forgotten Land introduces new story content in the "Star-Crossed World." Meanwhile, Super Mario Party Jamboree's Switch 2 Edition includes a new feature suite called "Jamboree TV," which utilizes the Joy-Con 2 mouse controls, the Switch 2 microphone, and the separately sold Switch 2 USB-C camera. This edition also offers an upgraded resolution up to 1440p in TV mode, enhanced frame rates, new minigames, and improved online functions.

Although U.S. prices on the American Nintendo eShop are not yet available—potentially due to ongoing tariff uncertainties with President Trump—the UK Nintendo eShop lists the Kirby and the Forgotten Land upgrade pack at £16.99 / €19.99, which is more than twice the £7.99 / €9.99 charged for upgrading either Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom.

The Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV upgrade carries the same price, suggesting a U.S. cost of $19.99. This high upgrade fee could be related to the substantial $80 price tag for both Kirby and The Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star Crossed World and Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV. In contrast, the original Switch versions of these games are priced at $59.99 each.

It's worth noting that both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom upgrade packs are available at no additional cost to Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack subscribers. However, no such offer exists for those looking to upgrade Kirby or Super Mario Party Jamboree.

Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders became available on April 24, with the console priced at $449.99. Due to overwhelming demand, Nintendo has warned U.S. customers who pre-ordered via the My Nintendo Store that delivery on the release date is not guaranteed.
