"Nintendo Switch 2 Fans Applaud as Speedrunner Beats Zelda Boss in Under 10 Minutes"
A The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild speedrunner achieved a remarkable feat at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in Japan, completing the critically-acclaimed RPG in just 10 minutes. As reported by VGC, Japanese content creator Ikaboze utilized an existing save file, despite not knowing what equipment Link possessed. Choosing a daring challenge, Ikaboze decided to "defeat the final boss while tied up completely naked and with all my equipment removed." Starting from a save that placed him directly in the final battle with Ganon, Ikaboze managed to defeat the boss in just seven minutes, prompting spontaneous applause from onlookers.

This achievement was particularly notable because Ikaboze was using an unfamiliar controller and couldn't hear the game over the noise of the convention hall. Reflecting on the event, Ikaboze said, “I was surprised by how many people had gathered. Staff were even filming on their smartphones. This was the first time anyone had completed the Breath of the Wild demo, and staff congratulated me."
The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild boasts improved visuals and performance, achievements, and integrates the new "Zelda Notes" service available through the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original Switch version can access these enhancements by purchasing an "upgrade pack" for $10. Both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom upgrade packs are offered at no additional cost to Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack subscribers.
