Nintendo's financial report confirms the release of several first-party titles scheduled for 2025. Kicking off the year, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD will launch on January 16th, followed by Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are set to hit the shelves this year, though exact release dates are yet to be announced.

While no further projects have been detailed, fans can look forward to the Nintendo Direct airing on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025. Nintendo Switch 2 Experience Ahead Of Launch

The much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 is also slated for release in 2025, with the financial report suggesting a launch in the latter half of the year. To build excitement, Nintendo will host live in-person Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events at 15 global locations, including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, starting in April. While registration for most locations has closed, a waitlist offers a chance to win tickets. For the Japan event, ticket applications remain open until February 20th JST.

Super Nintendo World Expands To Orlando, Florida

Nintendo's efforts to expand its IPs beyond gaming include the opening of a new Super Nintendo World theme park in Orlando, Florida, at Universal Orlando Resort’s Universal Epic Universe on May 22nd, 2025. This marks the second Super Nintendo World in the U.S., following the debut in Universal Studios Hollywood in February 2023. The Orlando park will feature vibrant Super Mario Land landscapes and the tropical setting of Donkey Kong Country from day one.

Plans are also underway for a Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Singapore, projected for 2025, though further details are yet to be disclosed.
