Unveiled at Tokyo Game Show 2024's Xbox showcase, Threads of Time is currently in development for Xbox Series X/S and Steam. While a release date remains unconfirmed, PS5 and Nintendo Switch versions haven't been ruled out.

Generating considerable buzz, Threads of Time is poised to rival Sea of Stars as a spiritual successor to Square Enix's Chrono series. This retro-style RPG from Riyo Games promises a captivating story and charming characters.

"At Riyo Games, we aim to create retro-inspired RPGs that evoke cherished childhood memories," the studio stated. "Our journey began with a childhood pact – two friends playing RPGs on a CRT TV, dreaming of creating their own fantastical adventures."

Boasting stunning 2.5D pixel art, Threads of Time features a diverse cast journeying through various eras, from dinosaurs to robots. Their quest? To unravel a time-altering conspiracy threatening the very fabric of existence. Complementing the pixel art are high-quality anime cutscenes that enrich the narrative.
