Pokémon Go players will soon have a fresh way to earn rewards as Niantic begins regional testing of its innovative Go Pass system. Following the successful Tour Pass implementation during Pokémon Go Tour: Unova, this new feature is preparing for global launch. Selected players can currently participate in the Go Pass: April event to collect exclusive bonuses.

Joining the popular battle pass trend, Pokémon Go introduces a limited-time pass system from April 1st to May 6th. Players can accumulate Go Points to level up their pass and unlock rewards including Xerneas encounters, Stardust, XP boosts, and Poké Balls.

While the base Go Pass remains free, the Deluxe version provides premium benefits including Lucky Trinkets, Candy XL, and valuable items like Incubators and Lure Modules. Players can upgrade to Deluxe anytime and claim all previously unlocked premium rewards.

The progression system features Major Milestones that enhance gameplay. The first tier extends Daily Adventure Incense duration, the second improves Research Breakthrough rewards, while the third boosts benefits from egg hatching. Deluxe participants can also obtain an exclusive Lucky Trinket that guarantees a Lucky Friend status.

Niantic is currently evaluating regional variations in the testing phase, which means reward structures may differ across locations. Some test markets might feature alternative Pokémon encounters, modified item distributions, or even PokéCoin rewards at certain levels.

Eligible players should claim all rewards before May 8th, with any obtained Lucky Trinkets expiring on May 11th. This testing phase represents an exclusive opportunity to experience the Go Pass before its worldwide release.
