Larian Studios has exciting news for fans of *Baldur's Gate 3*: the much-awaited Patch 8 is set to launch on Tuesday, April 15. After being available in a stress test form for some time, the developers have confirmed that the patch is now ready for all players to enjoy next week.

Patch 8 introduces a massive array of new content to the critically acclaimed Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. Among the highlights are 12 new subclasses, offering players a variety of fresh ways to customize their gameplay experience. Additionally, the update will bring in a photo mode, cross-play capabilities, and split-screen support for Xbox Series S. Bard - College of Glamour
As a College of Glamour Bard, you'll wield the power to heal your allies and command your enemies. With Mantle of Inspiration, you can grant your allies 5 temporary hit points, and if an enemy attacks while this spell is active, they'll become Charmed. Leverage Mantle of Majesty to manipulate Charmed enemies, making them flee, approach, freeze, drop to the ground, or relinquish their weapons.

Barbarian - Path of Giants
Choose the Path of Giants to harness immense strength, allowing you to hurl both friends and foes with ease. Thanks to the Giant’s Rage passive, you'll gain increased size and strength, boosting your Throw attack damage and enhancing your carrying capacity.

Cleric - Death Domain
Embrace the darkness as a Death Domain Cleric, unlocking spells that deal necrotic damage and three new necromancy cantrips. Toll The Dead causes 1-8 damage when you sound the bell of doom, with potential for greater impact on already wounded targets. Plus, you can now detonate nearby corpses to harm enemies.

Druid - Circle of Stars
As a Circle of Stars Druid, you'll draw power from the stars, accessing unique abilities beyond traditional wildshapes. Choose from three Starry Forms - the Archer for radiant damage with astral arrows, the Chalice to restore health, and the Dragon to enhance your combat strategy and constitution.

Paladin - Oath of the Crown
Sworn to uphold the law, as an Oath of the Crown Paladin, you'll gain abilities to support your allies and disrupt foes. Use Righteous Clarity to guide your companions, taunt enemies with strategic interrupts, and protect your party with Divine Allegiance, absorbing damage while healing them.

Fighter - Arcane Archer
Combine magic and marksmanship as an Arcane Archer, featuring new shooting animations and skills. Banish enemies to the Feywild or unleash Psychic damage that may blind them, enhancing your combat versatility.

Monk - Drunken Master
As a Drunken Master Monk, consume alcohol to recover Ki, either from your inventory or bottles found around the Sword Coast. Use Intoxicating Strike to share a drink with enemies, boosting your Armour Class and hit chance against them. Drunk foes are vulnerable to your abilities like Sobering Realisation, which deals both physical and Psychic damage.

Ranger - Swarmkeeper
The Swarmkeeper subclass equips Rangers with three types of deadly swarms: Cloud of Jellyfish for lightning damage, Flurry of Moths for Psychic damage and potential blinding, and Legion of Bees for piercing damage and knockback. Each swarm also offers teleportation capabilities.

Rogue - Swashbuckler
Embrace the life of a swashbuckling Rogue with actions like tossing sand to Blind enemies, flicking your weapon to Disarm them, and using Fancy Footwork to avoid opportunity attacks after melee attacks.

Sorcerer - Shadow Magic
As a Shadow Magic Sorcerer, thrive in darkness with Superior Darkvision, Shadow Walk to move between dim light or darkness, and summon the Hound of Ill Omen to harass foes. Use Strength of the Grave to stay in the fight during Honour Mode runs.

Warlock - Hexblade
Forge a pact with a Shadowfell entity as a Hexblade Warlock, cursing enemies and raising their spirits as summons that deal necrotic damage and heal you. These spirits are effective against most living foes, excluding elemental, construct, and undead enemies.

Wizard - Bladesinging
The Bladesinging subclass blends swordplay with wizardry, featuring new spellcasting animations, a Bladesong ability for enhanced speed and agility, and bonuses to Constitution saving throws.
