Pedro Pascal Slams JK Rowling as 'Heinous Loser' Over Anti-Trans Comments

Pedro Pascal, renowned for his roles in acclaimed series such as The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has publicly criticized JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, due to her continued stance against the transgender community. This recent confrontation arose following Rowling's endorsement of a UK Supreme Court decision that legally defines "woman" as "a biological woman and biological sex," thereby excluding transgender women from protections under the country's Equality Act.

The controversy intensified when Rowling posted a celebratory image on Twitter/X, showing herself smoking a cigar and enjoying a drink by the ocean, captioned with, "I love it when a plan comes together." This statement referenced her previous financial contributions to For Scotland Women, the group behind the legal challenge.

In response, writer and activist Tariq Raouf posted a video on April 17 condemning Rowling's actions, describing them as "serious Voldemort villain sht" and calling for a boycott of all things related to Harry Potter. Pedro Pascal, a known ally of the transgender community, replied directly to Raouf's video, echoing the sentiment by stating, "Awful disgusting SHT is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior."

Pascal's support for the transgender community is well-documented. He has previously expressed strong sentiments on social media, declaring, "I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist," accompanied by an image of a sign affirming the historical and future presence of transgender individuals. Additionally, Pascal made a public statement of solidarity by wearing a "Protect the dolls" shirt at the premiere of Thunderbolts in London, a phrase used within the LGBTQIA+ community to refer to trans women.

This advocacy is deeply personal for Pascal, whose sister, Lux Pascal, publicly came out as a trans woman in 2021. Pedro Pascal has been openly supportive of his sister, celebrating her transition with a heartfelt post, "Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux," translating to "My sister, my heart, our Lux."
