The short answer is nuanced. Not in the traditional sense, at least not yet. However, the existing romance system, even after significant playtime, remains compelling and justifies the game's price point.

The November 2024 update significantly enhanced the romance system. The maximum relationship level (hearts) increased from four to six, introducing new events and cutscenes at two, four, and six hearts for each romanceable NPC. Future updates promise even more relationship milestones at eight and ten hearts, but concrete details remain scarce. The March 2025 update, while significant, won't expand the heart level cap or add new events.

Despite the lack of explicit "dates," the existing content is exceptionally well-crafted. The dialogue is rich and realistically flirty, leaving ample room for romantic interpretation. The pacing, therefore, feels rewarding despite the absence of formal dates.

A significant addition in the last major update was the Shooting Star Festival. This summer event allows players with four hearts with a chosen NPC to initiate a date-like experience. Currently, interactions with Caldarus during this event are less explicitly a "date" than with other characters, but this could change in future updates. The March 2025 update is slated to unlock the dragon's romance storyline, which may further alter the dating mechanics.
