Persona 4 Remade: Is Persona 4 Reload the Answer?
Following the successful launch of *Persona 3: Reload*, the *Persona* community is buzzing with anticipation for a potential *Persona 4* remaster. Recent developments suggest that a remake might be in the works. Let's dive deeper into the details.
Has Persona 4 Already Been Remade?
A popular *Persona* YouTuber, ScrambledFaz, recently shared a screenshot on X highlighting the registration of the domain "p4re.jp" on March 20th. This move echoes the registration of "p3re.jp" two years ago, just months before the announcement of *Persona 3: Reload*. This has sparked speculation among fans that a *Persona 4* remake could be on the way.
The original *Persona 4* was released in 2008 and was available on PlayStation 3 and 4. In 2012, *Persona 4 Golden* was introduced, bringing the game to the PlayStation Vita and PC with enhanced graphics and new content, including a new town and the beloved character Marie. However, *Persona 4 Golden* is not considered a full remake, much like *Persona 3 Portable*, which was adapted for the PSP with a new protagonist and additional characters but lacked the comprehensive overhaul seen in *Persona 3: Reload*.
What Would a Persona 4 Remake Look Like?
Should *Persona 4* receive a remake similar to *Persona 3: Reload*, fans have plenty to look forward to. The 2008 graphics would be revamped, featuring updated character portraits and new animations for cutscenes. Additionally, a remake could introduce more side quests and enriched character interactions, allowing players to deepen their social links. *Persona 4 Golden* introduced Okina City, offering activities like visiting the cinema or coffee shop. A remake could further expand and enrich the city's offerings.

When Should We Expect a Persona 4 Remake?
In 2024, a credible Sega leaker confirmed that a *Persona 4* remake is indeed in development, though fans should not expect it to arrive soon. If we follow the timeline of *Persona 3: Reload*, an announcement might come as early as June, mirroring the reveal of *Persona 3: Reload* at the Xbox Summer Showcase in June 2023.
Atlus has been teasing news about *Persona 6* for years, and with almost a decade since *Persona 5*'s release, fans are eagerly awaiting any news. The potential *Persona 4* remake might further delay *Persona 6*, causing some frustration among fans who feel *Persona 4* does not need a remake. Nonetheless, it's hoped that the development of *Persona 6* won't be significantly impacted by the *Persona 4* project.
That covers all the current information on whether *Persona 4* will see a remake as *Persona 4 Reload*. Stay tuned for more updates!
