The original game, released in 2009 (Japan) and 2010 (worldwide), captivated players with its innovative design and exhilarating gameplay, setting the stage for successful sequels on Nintendo platforms.

The original Bayonetta, helmed by Hideki Kamiya (renowned for Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe), introduced the world to the Umbra Witch, Bayonetta, a powerful sorceress battling supernatural foes with guns, breathtaking martial arts, and magically-enhanced hair. PlatinumGames is also releasing monthly Bayonetta-themed smartphone wallpapers, with January's featuring Bayonetta and Jeanne in kimonos.
