Niantic is launching a final Catch-a-thon event in Pokémon Go, giving trainers another shot at Community Day Pokémon and exclusive rewards, including shiny variants!

Missed out on past Community Days? This end-of-year event is your second chance to catch rare Pokémon with friends.

The Catch-a-thon runs December 21st and 22nd, 2 pm to 5 pm local time. Featured Pokémon (with shiny possibilities) include:

• December 21st: Bellsprout, Chansey, Goomy, Rowlet, Litten, and Bounsweet.
• December 22nd: Mankey, Ponyta, Galarian Ponyta, Sewaddle, Tynamo, and Popplio.

For the last ten minutes of each hour, encounter Porygon, Cyndaquil, Bagon, and Beldum. Plus, enjoy 2x XP for catching Pokémon and 2x Stardust, along with other special rewards. Check the official Pokémon Go website for full event details!

This year has been huge for Pokémon Go, with major updates like Gigantamax. This final community event is the perfect way to cap off 2024. While the timing might seem close to the holidays, dedicated trainers will likely brave the cold for a few hours of Pokémon catching fun.
