Pokémon Company Tackles TCG Shortages, Scalpers Post-Destined Rivals Launch

The Pokémon Company has officially responded to the concerns of fans struggling to get their hands on the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game sets. In a recent statement, they've confirmed that reprints are on the way, and they are diligently working to ensure that these products reach fans as soon as possible.

The release of the newest set, Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet - Destined Rivals, was met with challenges such as shortages, pre-order issues, and scalping activities. Other recent sets like Prismatic Evolutions and the Blooming Waters box have also been highly sought after, making them hard to acquire.

In a statement on their official site, The Pokémon Company acknowledged the difficulties fans have faced in purchasing certain Pokémon TCG products due to high demand. "We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to acknowledge this," the statement said. "Reprinted products are expected to be available at participating retailers as soon as possible."

The company also announced plans to "maximize production" for future TCG expansions to ensure better product availability at launch. They committed to continuously reprinting affected products to restock, including at the Pokémon Center.

Addressing the issue of scalping, The Pokémon Company emphasized their commitment to providing a smooth purchasing experience. They employ technology to prioritize fans in obtaining products, notably through a virtual queue system during periods of high traffic on the Pokémon Center website.

"We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers," the company stated. "We’d like to thank the community for their continued support and patience as we work to deliver more Pokémon TCG products to fans."

With these assurances, fans are hopeful that collecting and enjoying the Pokémon TCG will become less stressful with the arrival of new sets.
