Pokemon GO enthusiasts have a thrilling update to look forward to with the debut of Gigantamax Kingler on February 1. Last year, the game introduced the highly anticipated Dynamax and Gigantamax forms, which have since been steadily expanded by the developers.

Gigantamax is a unique form of Dynamax that not only amplifies a Pokemon's size and strength but also alters its appearance and bestows special abilities known as G-Max Moves. While the main series games feature 32 Pokemon capable of Gigantamaxing, only six are currently available in Niantic's game, with Gigantamax Lapras being the most recent addition. This number is set to grow with the upcoming event.

During the event, players can gather up to 1600 Max Particles, essential for participating in Pokemon GO's Max Battles. From 12 am to 5 pm on February 1, players will earn double the Max Particles while exploring, and will need to travel only a quarter of the usual distance to collect them. A $5 ticket will grant 1 Max Mushroom, 25000 XP, double XP from Max Battles, and raise the Max Particle collection limit to 5600. Additionally, a $7.99 box containing six particle packs will be available on the Pokemon GO Web Store.

Max Battle Day is just one of several events scheduled for February, though it's not the first. Niantic has also announced the Lunar New Year event, running from January 29 to February 1. Although Gigantamax Kingler won't feature in this event, players can still anticipate exciting activities, including the return of Shadow Ho-Oh in a Shadow Raid Day on January 19, and the arrival of more Galar Pokemon in the coming days.
