Prismatic Evolutions, announced in early November 2024, was intended to kick off 2025 on a high note with its international release scheduled for January 17. However, like many new Pokemon TCG expansions, it has faced global shortages, including in the United States.

After weeks of fan complaints on social media, The Pokemon Company issued a statement acknowledging the limited availability of some upcoming products. "We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokemon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to address this," a company representative told IGN.

Pokemon TCG Prismatic Evolutions Reprints Are Coming Soon

The reprints of Prismatic Evolutions are currently in production and will reach licensed distributors soon, though no specific timeline was provided. While some social media users have pointed to scalpers as the cause of the shortages, The Pokemon Company attributed them to "high demand" without further elaboration.

More Pokemon TCG Prismatic Evolutions Products Are Also on the Horizon

The Pokemon Company also announced that new Prismatic Evolutions products will be available in the coming months. These were mentioned during the expansion's initial announcement in November 2024.

Additional Prismatic Evolutions products, including a new Mini Tin and Surprise Box, will be released on February 7. A Booster Bundle and an Accessory Pouch Special Collection are scheduled for March 7 and April 25, respectively. The Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection will be available on May 16, followed by a Premium Figure Collection on September 26. Fans can also try out the new cards by playing the Battle Pass in the Pokemon TCG Live mobile game, which will start rewarding Prismatic Evolutions cards on January 16.
