Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Dates, Locations, and More!

Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional events launching this January. Let's dive into the upcoming festivities!

Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration

The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place in three global cities throughout June:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
• Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

Further details will be revealed in March, but expect the usual blend of exclusive Pokémon encounters, gameplay enhancements, and in-person activities. Remember that event details are subject to change, so stay tuned for updates.

Pokémon GO Fest is renowned for its rare Pokémon appearances, increased Shiny rates, and unique in-person experiences. Past events have featured legendary Pokémon like Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow. In-person attendees can also look forward to exclusive merchandise and community events.

January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day

Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic has announced two additional events for January:

Fashion Week: Taken Over: From January 15th (12:00 pm) to January 19th (8:00 pm) local time, trainers can rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. New Pokémon Shroodle and Grafaiai will debut, hatching from 12 km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon and a fashionably dressed Croagunk will also appear.

Shadow Raid Day: On January 19th (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm) local time, participate in Five-Star Shadow Raids to capture Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh will also have an increased appearance rate, and lucky trainers can teach their captured Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire.
