The Tuscaloosa Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a thief who robbed a convenience store while wearing a full Scooby-Doo costume.

CCTV footage from the Quick Stop on Highway 82 shows the individual, who struck last weekend, emptying coins from gaming machines dressed as the classic cartoon canine.

At one point, the suspect removed the character's headpiece, revealing a second layer of deception: a balaclava concealed their face. Zoinks!

Authorities describe the suspect as a white male, approximately 5'9" tall, and are asking for tips to uncover the culprit's real identity. Some might say the villain is always a disguised old man.

Images shared on the police department's Facebook page show the costumed figure inside the store at 3:45 AM. Police confirmed the thief "took cash and coins, but left the snacks behind." No munchies?

In a humorous follow-up, the department posted a picture of the iconic Mystery Machine van outside their station, commenting, "We've questioned the vehicle's owners, but no solid leads yet. Stay alert for shady caretakers and avoid meddling if you spot the suspect."
