This professional-grade controller for the PS5 mirrors the premium functionality of the Xbox Elite for the Series X.

The DualSense Edge is Sony’s premium controller for the PS5, offering advanced features akin to the Xbox Elite Series 2. It includes customizable grips, adjustable analog sticks, mappable rear buttons, and user profiles. The analog stick tops can be swapped for convex alternatives in two heights. Rear button options include levers, similar to the Xbox Elite Series 2, or smaller nubs. The triggers feature adjustable stop sliders, allowing you to set standard, medium, or short travel distances for faster response in competitive games.

The controller comes with a hard shell case for convenient storage and portability, featuring a flap for charging while stored. A 9-foot USB-C cable is included. Unlike standard DualSense controllers, certain components, like the analog stick modules, are replaceable for $19.99 each.

The interchangeable rear buttons feel natural and enhance usability. Replaceable analog stick modules address concerns like joystick drift without requiring a full controller replacement. The only drawback is the lack of significant battery life improvement, a persistent issue for PlayStation controllers. Overall, this is an outstanding first entry into Sony’s pro-level controller lineup."
