The first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience, Rivals, has rolled out its latest Update 9, introducing the innovative Gunblade weapon and the new Bridge map. Developer Nosniy Games provided detailed patch notes for this update, showcasing a compact list of changes aimed at keeping the community engaged as they prepare for future developments. While this update is smaller compared to previous ones, it still brings exciting new content to the game.

Rivals enthusiasts, who are drawn to the game for its FPS mechanics and diverse arsenal, will find the Gunblade an exciting addition. This unique weapon serves as both a rifle and a large blade, offering players a tactical advantage by allowing them to switch between ranged and melee combat. The Gunblade's versatility is likely to be particularly effective on the newly introduced Bridge map, a compact arena set in Seoul, designed by creator @GreatGuyBoom. This map emphasizes close-quarters combat, with its layout featuring minimal cover, encouraging intense battles right from the start.

Notably, the Rivals Update 9 patch notes do not include any specific bug fixes, balance adjustments, or quality-of-life enhancements. Nosniy Games has chosen to focus solely on the introduction of the Bridge map and the Gunblade. However, minor modifications were made to the skins of the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and several weapons were renamed, including the Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle, and Hexxed wrap, now known as Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, and Vexed, respectively. The developers have promised that more comprehensive changes will accompany the eagerly anticipated Ranked update.

"We hear all of your feedback and want to reassure you all that every necessary & additional changes/improvements will be made in time for Ranked," the team stated, emphasizing their commitment to enhancing the game based on community input.

Since its launch last May, Rivals has consistently delivered regular updates. For instance, Update 7 introduced the Energy Rifle, Energy Pistols, and Crossbow, among other additions. The Winter Spotlight has been removed and replaced with a brand new set of challenges! Complete a series of tasks on the new Bridge map to earn keys & the limited time Bungeoppang charm!

OTHER

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
