Rockstar, the masterminds behind the GTA series, have just released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile devices. After a six-year wait, fans can finally enjoy some fresh tweaks to this classic title, exclusively on mobile platforms.

Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!

Bully: Anniversary Edition now boasts new language support and focuses on enhancing stability and squashing bugs. However, Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges as part of this update.

For Android users with compatible devices, the update introduces Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), enhancing visual depth. Additionally, the app icon has been refreshed, and haptic feedback has been added across both Android and iOS platforms.

Several mission-specific issues have been resolved. The notorious 'That Bitch' mission, where Mandy's locker was previously unpickable, has been fixed. Similarly, 'Weed Killer' now progresses correctly even if you break the window prematurely, and in 'The Rumble', police cars no longer fall through the floor.

The update also addresses gameplay issues where enemies would inexplicably refuse to attack Jimmy, leading to unbalanced fights. Crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading a save from the pause menu have been eliminated.

What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?

The Bully community has been vocal about their desire for a sequel, Bully 2, for years. Although there were reports of it being in development during the 2010s, it was ultimately shelved in favor of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online.

With GTA 6 on the horizon, the prospects for Bully 2 seem slim, especially considering many of the original developers have moved on from Rockstar. While this update isn't a full remaster or a sequel, it's a significant upgrade for mobile players.
