Recent news regarding the Silent Hill 2 remake release, gleaned from a newly released trailer, confirms an October 2024 launch date for PS5 and PC, while hinting at a later release on other platforms.

The "Silent Hill 2 - Immersion Trailer" on PlayStation's YouTube channel reveals the game's PlayStation 5 console exclusivity for at least one year. The PS5 and PC versions launch October 8th, 2024. The trailer explicitly states that the Silent Hill 2 remake will *not* be available on other platforms until October 8th, 2025.Given the PS6 is unlikely to launch before then, this suggests a potential release on Xbox consoles and Nintendo Switch, among others, in 2025.
