The Japanese reveal trailer confirmed this mature rating with international classifications: Mature (US), PEGI 18 (Europe), and Japan's CERO:Z rating displayed prominently.

While ratings may adjust during development, Automaton reports previous Japanese-developed Silent Hill titles (1-4) carried the milder CERO:C rating (15+), with Western-developed entries typically rated CERO:C or CERO:D (17+).

Notably, Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 Remake maintained Japan's CERO:C rating despite Western markets classifying it as Mature (17+).

Konami's latest Silent Hill Transmission showcase focused exclusively on Silent Hill f - marking the franchise's first mainline entry in over a decade.

Originally revealed in 2022, this psychological horror transports players to 1960s Japan, following troubled teenager Shimizu Hinako amidst societal pressures. The narrative comes from When They Cry creator Ryukishi07.

The chilling trailer depicts Hinako's deteriorating mental state through bloody wounds and torn school uniforms. While gameplay remains mostly hidden, we glimpsed disturbing monster designs and what appears to be a floral Otherworld replacing the series' signature rust aesthetic.
