"Silent Hill f Release Set for September - Sony State of Play"

Jul 23,25(4 days ago)

In a chilling new trailer unveiled during Sony’s State of Play, Silent Hill f has confirmed its arrival: the game will launch on September 25, 2025. The haunting footage offers a deeper, darker glimpse into the unsettling world of this upcoming survival horror title.

We see Hinako Shimizu, the game’s protagonist, and her friends living quiet, everyday lives in the fictional town of Ebisugaoka—until a mysterious fog rolls in, transforming their reality into a nightmarish realm of psychological terror and grotesque imagery. The once-familiar streets become unrecognizable, cloaked in dread.

Disturbing red flowers bloom unnaturally across the landscape. Twisted, jerky dolls—part childlike, part abomination—lurch after Hinako, attacking with violent intent. Her friends appear to be caught in their own personal hells, their fates unclear. The trailer is unflinching: graphic violence, paranormal phenomena, and visceral body horror dominate the scenes. Amid the chaos, Hinako demonstrates surprising resilience, wielding a crowbar with deadly precision.

Originally announced in 2022, Silent Hill f is set in 1960s Japan and blends stark beauty with profound horror. The narrative is crafted by acclaimed Japanese writer Ryukishi07, known for his work on the When They Cry visual novel series. This entry is a standalone experience, separate from the mainline Silent Hill series, and marks the first M-rated Silent Hill title developed in Japan.

The game comes with intense content warnings, including depictions of impalement, facial disfigurement, a character burned alive in a cage, and scenes of entrails displayed on serving platters. It’s a harrowing vision of terror—one that promises to push the boundaries of the franchise like never before.
