The Simpsons: Tapped Out Is About To Tap Out As EA Is Shutting It Down
EA's long-running mobile game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, is officially ending. After a twelve-year run, the game will be sunsetting in early 2025.
Shutdown Timeline:
- October 31st, 2024: New downloads will be unavailable.
- January 24th, 2025: Servers will shut down completely. In-app purchases are already disabled.
EA expressed gratitude to its players for their decade-plus of support in building their own Springfield. This collaboration with The Simpsons and The Walt Disney Company created a unique and enduring mobile experience.

If you've never experienced The Simpsons: Tapped Out, now's your last chance. The game puts you in control of Springfield's reconstruction after Homer's infamous nuclear meltdown. You'll guide the Simpsons family and a host of Springfield residents, building your own customized town, from the core Springfield to Springfield Heights, even managing Apu's Kwik-E-Mart.
