Securing a Bed

Early in the game, acquiring your own bed is paramount. Progressing through either the blacksmith (Radovan) or miller (Kreyzl) questlines, during the "Wedding Crashers" quest, will grant you access to a bed. Radovan's location in Tachov is closer to the starting area. Complete his smithing tutorial to unlock the bed in the room adjacent to the forge.

This bed will be marked on your map, and a nearby chest provides convenient storage. Return here whenever you need to heal.

Campsite Alternatives

When immediate access to your bed isn't possible, numerous campsites are scattered throughout the game world. Some may be occupied by bandits, requiring a bit of action before you can utilize the bedrolls. Regardless of occupancy, these campsites are marked on your map, and interacting with the bedrolls allows for a less comfortable, but effective, rest.

Sleeping in an NPC's bed is a last resort; getting caught will likely result in a confrontation with the guards.
