Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is back in the main exhibition hall at TGS 2024, after a four-year hiatus. Official exhibitor lists confirm SIE's presence among 731 companies and over 3190 booths spanning Halls 1-8. While Sony participated in TGS 2023, their presence was limited to the indie game demo area. This year's full participation places them alongside industry giants like Capcom and Konami.
Sony's exact plans remain undisclosed. A State of Play presentation in May 2024 showcased several 2024 releases, many of which will have launched by the time TGS rolls around. Furthermore, Sony's recent financial reports indicate no plans for major new franchise releases before April 2025.
TGS 2024: A Record-Breaking Event
TGS, Asia's premier video game exhibition, takes place at Makuhari Messe from September 26th to 29th. The 2024 event is shaping up to be the largest yet, boasting 731 exhibitors (448 Japanese and 283 international) and 3190 booths (as of July 4th).
