The trio of iconic female fighting game characters instantly conjuring images in my mind are Nina Williams, Chun-Li, and Mai Shiranui. While Street Fighter x Tekken featured a memorable clash between Nina and Chun-Li, a rematch isn't on the immediate horizon.

However, Mai Shiranui's arrival as a guest character in Street Fighter 6 is a different story. It's no surprise that her gameplay trailer showcases a showdown against Chun-Li.

Mai's signature moves are all present, her Super looks spectacular, and she's poised to be a highly popular addition to Street Fighter 6's roster. Sadly, players will need to exercise a bit more patience; Capcom has set the release date for February 5th, meaning a three-week wait.

Let's hope the Street Fighter 6 team keeps us entertained with additional content in the interim to stave off boredom.
