Supercell, the renowned Finnish developer, has made a surprising announcement following the closure of their RPG, Clash Heroes. Despite the shutdown, Supercell is not letting the game fade away completely. Instead, they are reviving it in an innovative form under the name Project R.I.S.E.

Clash Heroes has officially been discontinued, joining the ranks of previously shelved projects like Clash Mini. However, Supercell is giving fans a new reason to celebrate with the introduction of Project R.I.S.E. This new game will be a social action RPG roguelite, set within the beloved Clash universe, promising a fresh take on the gameplay fans have come to love.

In the announcement video for Project R.I.S.E., game lead Julien Le Cadre was candid about the situation. "Clash Heroes is dead. That's the bad news," he stated. "The good news is that Project R.I.S.E. is still a Clash game, and the better news is that it's now a multiplayer-focused action RPG."

Project R.I.S.E. will retain some elements of Clash Heroes but will be rebuilt from the ground up as a social action RPG roguelite. In this new adventure, players will team up with two others to explore The Tower, a mysterious location where each session takes place on a different floor. The objective is to climb as high as possible, emphasizing cooperative play with a variety of characters, diverging from the solo PvE dungeons of its predecessor.

Currently, Project R.I.S.E. is in the pre-alpha stage, with Supercell planning the first playtest in early July 2024. Interested players can register on the official website for a chance to participate in this early testing phase.
