Swing Into ‘Marvel Snap’ With The Amazing Spider-Season

Marvel Snap's Amazing Spider-Season Swings into Action!
September brings a thrilling new season to Marvel Snap (Free), themed around the iconic Spider-Man and his web of allies! This season introduces a game-changing mechanic: Activate abilities. Unlike "On Reveal," Activate abilities let you strategically trigger a card's effect at any point during your turn, offering tactical flexibility and avoiding counter-play targeting On Reveal effects.
The Season Pass card, Symbiote Spider-Man, is a 4-cost, 6-power powerhouse. His Activate ability allows him to absorb the lowest-cost card at his location and copy its effect, even re-triggering On Reveal abilities. Prepare for some seriously chaotic combinations, especially with cards like Galactus!
Beyond the Season Pass, several exciting new cards join the fray:
- Silver Sable: A 1-cost, 1-power card with an On Reveal ability that steals 2 power from the top card of your opponent's deck. A solid addition to many strategies.
- Madame Web: This Ongoing ability card lets you move one card at her location to another location once per turn, adding a layer of strategic repositioning.
- Arana: A 1-cost, 1-power card with an Activate ability. Activating her moves the next card you play to the right and grants it +2 power, making her a key component for move-focused decks.
- Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly): A 4-cost, 5-power card with an Activate ability that spawns an identical clone at another location. Double the trouble, double the power!
Two new locations also shake up the gameplay:
- Brooklyn Bridge: A classic Spider-Man locale with a twist – you can't play cards there on consecutive turns, forcing players to adapt their strategies.
- Otto's Lab: This location mirrors Doctor Octopus's cunning. Playing a card here pulls a card from your opponent's hand into play, adding an element of surprise and unpredictability.
This Spider-themed season introduces exciting new mechanics and cards, promising a fresh and engaging Marvel Snap experience. Will you be adding these new cards to your deck? Let us know your thoughts in the comments! Our September deck guide is coming soon to help you conquer this web-slinging challenge.
