Remember SAOVS, the action RPG by Bandai Namco that was launched in November 2022? Well, SAOVS, also known as Sword Art Online Variant Showdown, has finally been re-released after its 'never-ending maintenance' that started in September 2023. As per their announcement in August 2023, the maintenance was expected to end in the summer of 2024. However, it took the developers over a year to resolve core functionality issues and get the game back up and running.

Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Re-released: What’s New?

The re-release introduces Battle Royal Season 1, where four players compete in an arena, and the player with the most knockouts emerges as the winner. Assemble your best team, dive into League Matches, and earn Titles and accessories. This exciting season will run until December 30th.

For those loyal players who stuck around before the maintenance break, there's a special treat. The Returning Player Campaign offers 5 [Sword Spark] Mito Pickup Scout Tickets as a thank you for your patience and dedication.

Additionally, the Restart Celebration: Six Great Campaigns event is now live! You can earn up to 100 free Scouts, collect login bonuses, and complete missions for fantastic rewards. This event will continue until January 30th, 2025.

Players also have the opportunity to obtain SSR [Sword Spark] Mito, a Light-elemental fighter. Plus, the new SSR Ability Cards 'Destroyer of Destiny' and 'Seasoned Comrades' are available, but only until January 6th, 2025.
