Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2), released in October 2018, also shows sustained sales momentum, adding 3 million copies to its already substantial 70 million unit sales total in the recent quarter.

The success of GTA V is significantly bolstered by its consistently popular online mode, GTA Online. Take-Two Interactive's commitment to regular updates, such as the December 2024 Agents of Sabotage expansion, keeps players engaged and returning.

Looking ahead, Take-Two has confirmed a Fall 2025 release for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI. Further bolstering their upcoming releases, Mafia: The Old Country is slated for a Summer 2025 release, and Borderlands 4 is expected later in the year.

While concerns about potential delays for Grand Theft Auto VI are understandable, Take-Two's recent financial report reaffirmed the Fall 2025 release window. Similarly, Borderlands 4's release this year has been confirmed, although specific dates remain unannounced.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick acknowledged Rockstar Games' meticulous development approach, suggesting that additional time may be needed, echoing the development cycles of previous titles like GTA V and RDR2. Despite this acknowledgement, the Fall 2025 release for GTA VI remains the current target.
