The Last Ronin II - Re-Evolution #5, penned by Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz, with art by Ben Bishop, Isaac Escorza, and Esau Escorza, promises a thrilling climax:

The second installment in the legendary Last Ronin saga reaches its explosive finale! New York City is engulfed in all-out war, leaving no one unscathed. Casey, April, Odyn, Yi, Moja, and Uno are all in grave danger. Will they survive? Their fate rests in the hands of legendary writers Kevin Eastman & Tom Waltz as this chapter of The Last Ronin concludes!

Eastman shared insights in a 2024 interview with IGN: "We wanted to modernize the characters. We have two male and two female Turtles, and Tom and I worked to capture the thoughts, speech, and actions of modern teenagers," he explained. "There's a great mix of personalities, much like the original Turtles. They'll always love their family, but not always like them. They'll argue, disagree, but their family bond will always unite them. That's the core of everything we do with the Turtles."
