HoYoverse has launched an exciting new update for *Tears of Themis* titled the Ballad of the Dunes. This update features a unique collaboration with the Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism, merging the thrilling world of detective work with the cultural heritage of Dunhuang, a city nestled at the edge of the Gobi Desert.

What Does Ballad of the Dunes Bring to Tears of Themis?

The Ballad of the Dunes event immerses players in a narrative filled with history, romance, and mystery, all set against the backdrop of the ancient Silk Road. This crossover event brings a host of new content to *Tears of Themis*, including four new MR cards featuring characters Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius. Each card reflects elements of Dunhuang's rich culture, showcasing flying apsaras, detailed murals, and the traditional pipa played in a unique style reminiscent of ancient performers in the Mogao Caves. This event pays homage to the cultural melting pot that was the Silk Road during the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD), now brought to life within the digital realm of *Tears of Themis*.

Each MR card tells a distinct story: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." These cards are accompanied by Private Messages that explore a thousand-year journey, adding depth to the game's narrative.

What Are the Rewards?

From February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can earn various rewards by completing event tasks. These include Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other goodies. The event features a game board where players flip cells to uncover rewards. The highlight of the event is the opportunity to obtain the Ballad of the Dunes MR card pack, allowing players to choose one of the four MR cards as their final reward in each round. Those who successfully flip 100 cells will receive the exclusive Celebration – Dunes Namecard.
