During today's Summer Game Fest showcase, audiences heard acclaimed voice actor Troy Baker in his newest character role - a sleuthing rodent protagonist in MOUSE: P.I. For Hire.

In this noir-inspired adventure, Baker portrays Jack Pepper, a war veteran turned private eye who happens to be a quick-witted mouse. The narrative kicks off with a classic femme fatale visiting his office with a suspicious case, but the investigation soon spirals into a web of murder and political corruption throughout Mouseburg.

A Visually Stunning Noir Shooter

MOUSE presents itself as a first-person shooter with immediately distinctive visuals, channeling the rubber-hose animation style of 1930s cartoons - reminiscent of Cuphead's striking retro aesthetic. The game fully embraces its noir influences, from visual design to narrative tone.

Baker brings his extensive voice acting pedigree to the project, having previously voiced iconic characters like Joel in The Last of Us, Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite, and Higgs in Death Stranding. He's currently working on Death Stranding 2 and portraying Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is slated for release later this year across Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC platforms. Development is being handled by Fumi Games.
