What are Pokemon Vending Machines?

These automated machines dispense Pokemon merchandise, much like a soda machine, though at a potentially higher price point. While various types have existed, the current US focus is on TCG-centric models initially tested in Washington in 2017. This trial's success led to wider deployment across US grocery stores.

These machines are visually appealing, featuring bright colors and clear Pokemon branding. Their touchscreen interface replaces older button-press systems, allowing for easy browsing and credit card purchases. The buying experience is enhanced by charming Pokemon animations. A digital receipt is emailed to the purchaser, but returns are not accepted.

Currently, machines are located in: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin. The website allows you to select your state to view participating stores, primarily Albertsons, Fred Meyer, Frys, Kroger, Pick ‘n Save, Safeway, Smith’s, and Tom Thumb.
